TOGETHER AGAINST HARASSMENT
FOR A SAFER AND BRAVER MARATHON

Dance events are moments of sharing and conviviality, but they can sometimes also be the scene of uncomfortable situations or inappropriate behaviour.
What if we are made to feel uncomfortable? What if our boundaries get violated? Or, in the worst case scenario , an actual physical assault occurs during an event?

Carillon de la Mer adopts a ZERO TOLERANCE  policy towards harassment, discrimination, or any form of aggression, whether physical or verbal.

We aim to ensure that everyone can enjoy the magic of tango in a safe environment, where mutual respect is the norm.

To achieve this, we have implemented a reporting PROTOCOL.

If you feel uncomfortable, if you have been assaulted, or if you witness inappropriate behaviour, we encourage you to report it to us.
Speak to a member of the staff, who will discreetly put you in contact with one of the designated representatives. A volunteer psychologist will also be present throughout the event to listen and support you.

Our team is committed to listening with care and taking all reports seriously, respecting strict confidentiality.

If you prefer an even more discreet approach, or if you wish to report something before or after the event, you can use this form:

🔔 What is the difference between flirting, humour, and harassment? The difference lies in consent and mutual comfort. Flirting and humour are respectful when well-received and desired. They become harassment when they are insistent, inappropriate, or ignore the other person's signals.

CONSENT is essential! Consent is a clear and enthusiastic « yes », given freely and without pressure. It can be withdrawn at any time, and it is important to respect that.

HARASSMENT can take many forms: inappropriate comments, insistent looks, unwanted touches, etc. It involves any repeated and unsolicited behaviour that makes someone uncomfortable or infringes on their boundaries.
